PWA SUPER GRAND SLAM/SYLT - приключи вчера. Дъжд, прибой, камъни, течения и силни ветрове в повечето от дните. Ако не перфектни условия, то поне условия за истински екшън предложи северният бряг на състезателите тази година. В последните 2 дни стълбицата отново се пренареди. В слалома Antoine Albeau спечели рейс 3 и 4, с 36.5 наказателни точки обаче, последните 2 победи не му бяха достатъчни за да спечели сътезанието и остана 2-ри, Bjorn Dunkerbek, е победител на слалома в Sylt, 3-ти е Cyril Moussilmani. Все пак световната титла за 2008 остава в ръцете на Albeau, а Dunkerbek въпреки победите си на Alacati и Sylt e втори, Kevin Pritchard е на трето място в света. Подобна е картината в дисциплината уейв - мъже. Victor Fernandez е победител на уейв в Sylt, 2-ри Kauli Seadi и 3-ти Klaas Voget. Двете победи на Victor Fernandez на Grand Canaria И тук в Sylt, не бяха достатъчни за световната титла. Cabo Verde очевидно е черната дупка за Fernandez. Извън математиката и събирането на точки остава въпроса - КОЙ наистина е по-добър Kauli или Fernandez? При фристайла победител е Antxon Otaegui, 2-ри "Gollito", 3-ти Kiri Thode. Със своето 5-то място тук в Sylt Marcilio Browne се прости със световната титла, която през 2008 остава за Jose Estredo. В уейва при жените няма изненади - четири първи места за Ibala и Daida Moreno, Nayra Alonso, Junko Nagoshi. Същите 4 имена оглавяват и светованта дамска ранк листа в уейв дисциплината - Dayda Moreno, следвана от Ibala Moreno, Nayra Alonso и Junko Nagoshi.
Състезанието в Sylt е с най-големия бюджет в световния тур, дали обаче наистина е короната на световния тур или спот в голяма и богата дъжава с щедър спонсор?

15-ти септември 2007-ма година хидропарк “казичане” събра повече от 2500 любители на екстремните спортове, които наблюдаваха и взеха участие в множество демонстрации и състезания, слушаха музика на живо и видяха най-добрите български екстремни филми за изминалата година.Exit Extreme Film Fest е едно уникално за България събитие, което има за цел да събере всички фенове на екстремните спортове на едно място. Главният повод са прожекциите на филмчета, с които всеки може да участва във феста, но освен това по традиция ще има и интересни демонстрации на множество екстремни спортове и музика на живо. На същото място, на 27 септември 2008-ма година ще се проведе третото поред издание на Exit Extreme Film Fest. Следвайки мотото, "всяко нещо да се прави все по-добре", тазгодишната организация на фестивала обещава изключителни атракции и нови активности, което ще го превърне в своеобразна кулминация на приключващия летен сезон.

Starboard was founded in 1994 by Svein Rasmussen, a well known racer that entered his first Windsurfer board in 1978. Svein won the Mistral Worlds in 1983, was a Gold medal candidate for the 84 Olympics and spent 10 years on the PWA pro- circuit. He also was the first sailor to win all disciplines in the IFCA Production Board Class Worlds, which he won in 1991. In 1994/95 Starboard developed the unique Wood Technology in co-operation with Jean Louis Colmas from New Caledonia, and were able to produce significantly lighter and stronger boards than any other producers. One of their early concepts were also to make wider, shorter , more user friendly boards, which instantly recognized Starboard as the innovative trendsetter among the board manufacturers.
